Moving from UK to Jakarta

Hi there, we are moving to Jakarta with two small children (ages 2 and 5). I think we will be looking to live in the Timur area due to my husbands work. Are there may other expats there? What is this area like for children, are there any open air areas (both kids are a tad wild and need lots of running!!!). Any advice you can give when picking housing/ schools? Looking forward to hear from you all - any help/ advice/ tips at all will be much appreciated!!!
