Need help with more inside info about Jakarta!

Dear Internations in Jakarta!

I would like to ask europian people living in Jakarta about your experience with living in this city. I should be coming to Jakarta in August for one year, to study there at the STP Sahid, College of the Indonesian Tourism in Jakarta Selatan.
I would like to ask if any of you know this school.
Is Jakarta a place you would recomend to go there for one year? I am Slovak, I have experiences from living abroad for longer time, but this would be the first time an asian and moslim country.
