Not a cook - what do you recommend for eating in? (Jakarta)

Hi All,

I'm a UK expat and lousy cook. What do you recommend for eating in? It's a challenge though - I want quick food. Limited to an electric hot plate and microwave!

I'm close to a 7-Eleven and Heroes supermarket, and although eating out is an option, sometimes I just want to get back, kick off my shoes and knock something up quickly.

I've done every combination of eggs, noodles, and assorted sandwiches. I'm enjoying the fresh fruit too. I could knock up a semi-decent spag bol. I can cook a roast dinner, but it just wouldn't be the same without a proper oven.

But I lack imagination. Ideas appreciated!
