Jamaica in May- Advice Please

Hello!

I've chosen Jamaica to be my vacation destination from May 21 till 25th. I've been overwhelmed with the various places I could be in...but with such a short visit, I plan to stay at a beach resort and relax. Any advice on must-see area & fine hotels? Which area would be best Montego Bay or Negril? Which hotels should I look into?

Also, it is important for me to volunteer at a child care center while there...if I choose to stay in Montego Bay or Negril, would I be able to find child care centers where I could extend a helping hand for 4 days?
