Final exit by car (Jeddah)

Dear all,
I am a German expatriate and moved recently to Jeddah. I want to buy a car here and although I should not think about my final exit yet, I have a question which relates to it.
After my assignment here I would like to take up the adventure and leave the country by car and drive back to Germany. Is that possible? How to deal with car registration and insurance?
