how long does it take to have an Iqamar? (Jeddah)

Dear All,

How long does it take to have an Iqamar? My hasband has been in Jeddah since 23rd of March. Till now the company he's working for can't get an Iqama for him yet. Is it normal, He's trying to push his company but nothing is happening. What can we do? Is there any other way for us to join him in Jeddah?? Please let me know thank you guys.
