Finding short-term housing (Johannesburg)

Hello all!

I am writing to gather your best advice for finding short-term housing. I will be working in Jo'burg from July to December, with the office located in Houghton Estate. I am looking for a couple of pieces of advice:

1. What is the best way to find a furnished space (a shared flat or private flat/apt is fine by me) for a six month stay?

2. What are the best neighborhoods to commute from? I won't have access to a car and want to be somewhat efficient with my money, though I do have some resources to pull from.
