Health Insurance, Taxes (Johannesburg)

I am a writer and journalism professor who has been offered a multi-year position at Wits University.

My wife and I are excited about the opportunity and had a number of questions about health insurance and taxes:

a. What might a comprehensive insurance policy cost for my wife and me?
b. We are planning to return to the United States once per year. Would a comprehensive insurance policy held in South Africa cover us while we are in the United States?
c. Our son is 22 years old and will be living in the United States? Would a comprehensive insurance policy held in South Africa cover him?
d. Would we have to pay income taxes in the United States for money that we earned in South Africa? I am planning to start in either October Protected content January Protected content .
