Internet connection and second hand store (Johannesburg)

Hello,

After 2 months in a cottage, we finally move in our house next week!
I would like to know what you recommend as internet connection. ADSL? Which broadband?
I checked with telkom today, there is ADSL in our neighborhood.

We 're also looking for second hand stuff. I already know Gumtree or the shop Cash converters. Do you know any other stores like that?
