Account Strategist - Johannesburg

This position is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.
The area: Sales

The role: Account Strategist

This is a creative position that calls for the highest levels of strategic and analytical thinking, a strong affinity for the craft of language and a fondness for consulting closely with clients. As an Account Strategist, you'll distill the essence of our clients' products and services into targeted keyword lists and text advertisements that connect our advertisers with customers. You will also collaborate with our Sales and Operations team to work closely with clients to maximise the performance of these highly targeted ads.
Responsibilities:

* Monitor and analyse online marketing and campaign performance data in order to suggest structural and editorial improvements that will optimise ad campaigns.
* Leverage your deep understanding of clients' websites and products to develop creative content for their text ads.
* Encourage advertisers to incorporate Google's variety of ROI-oriented ad strategies.
* Provide customer training and orientation on Google products such as Google Analytics.
* Consult with advertisers in developing their strategy while controlling editorial quality.

Requirements:

* BA/BS degree or equivalent with top-class academics preferred.
* Demonstrated excellence in writing/editing and verbal communication.
* Detail-oriented, ability to complete large volumes of work quickly.
* Significant problem-solving and analytical abilities.
* Proven track record in high productivity and meeting deadlines.
* Strong knowledge of the search industry.
* Fluent in English.

Account Manager - Johannesburg

This position is based in Johannesburg, South Africa.

The role: Account Manager

You'll be developing and managing relationships with direct clients in a specific vertical industry, which means you need to be a focused, proactive self-starter, and able to multi-task in a fast-paced environment. Additionally, you're an advisor and consultant, as well as a client advocate within Google. You'll use your analytical skills to develop and close new business, grow existing business, and support your team with research, market analysis and other collateral. Above all, you'll be responsible for hitting your revenue targets.


Responsibilities:

* Take responsibility for the bookings, upselling and management of your direct clients
* Report on sales figures internally and take ownership with the leader of your vertical
* Serve as a liaison with clients regarding new product launches and advertising opportunities
* Provide campaign updates and ensure that our advertisers are satisfied with their ROI
* Manage ongoing customer training in all AdWords-related tools

Requirements:

* BA/BS degree or equivalent with an excellent academic record.
* Proven track record in advertising sales and media account management
* Strong knowledge of the search industry
* Excellent organizational, analytical and influencing skills
* Excellent written and communication skills
* Ability to deliver results under pressure
