Banking options (Kampala)

Hi, thanks in advance for your advice. My family and i are planning to move to Kampala from Toronto, Canada at the end of July. I would like to set up a local bank account with Stanbic or Barclays in advance. I've read their remarkably sparse websites and emailed their info@ addresses but received no replies. Any advice about which bank to go with and whether I will even be able to set up an account before arriving in country. Did any of you do this before you arrived and any tips to share?
