Potentialy moving to Kampala

I may be offered a position in Kampala later this year. Can anyone give me more information about availability and reliability of medical services for insulin dependent diabetics? Also, Kampala seems to be a place where the risk for contracting malaria is rather high. How much of a problem is malaria in daily life?

I would appreciate any relevant insight on general life in Kampala for a small family of three that includes a teenage girl.
