Our next major project for Uganda Volunteers Foundation is Education for All. There are 70 children from the Kitende community that are currently not in school, but they desperately want to go to be educated. With the kind support of Entebbe road primary school, we are commencing weekend classes for the children. The school is allowing us use of their classrooms free of charge, and although under resourced, is opening the doors to educate needy children. So how can you help?We looking for volunteers who can give up some time on a Saturday to teach Primary aged students. The main focus will be on literacy. The classes are likely to be large, with around 35 students. If you are not a teacher but would like to help as an assistant you are also welcome. We also desperately need donations of scholastic materials such as pencils, notebooks, paper, chalk. Please help if you can. Lessons start on 17th September..
