Home gardening in Nepal (Kathmandu)

Hi people,
Is there anyone who's interested or actually already gardening vegetables here in Kathmandu? I'm growing small potter salad (from grocery store salad) in my balcony and looking for seeds and/or saplings (seedling?) for cucumbers, tomatoes, carrots etc - where can I find them? I'd love to start my own kitchen garden since I have the space and try out how all the great veggies might grow. All the advice about the matter itself (gardening in general) are also appreciated :)
