Kathmandu with young child

We are moving to Kathmandu in late July with our child (will be 18 months old at that point). We are wondering if anyone has any advice about things that we should definitely bring with us? What child necessities are not readily available in Kathmandu or have people found themselves wishing they had brought along with them?

Does anyone know of English play groups for young children?
