moving to nepal (Kathmandu)

Hi there - I'm new in the forum. My wife Uma and I are thinking of moving to Nepal for a long time. We were interested in a small town. Pokhara was suggested. We're very interested in a shift of lifestyle...still living in Los Angeles, Ca. Any ideas or or suggestions are MOST welcome. Thanks very much in advance for any responses.
