Moving with toddler and dog! (Kathmandu)

Hi! I was hoping for advice on living in KTM with a toddler- we are coming from a place where we spend most of our time outdoors, swimming and very active: I was wondering what activities are available for a lively 2 year old whose not ready for hiking! ; Protected content pools or play areas? And any advice on greener, quieter areas to live where one could safely walk a dog in the neighbourhood?
