Nepal Situation Update: 06 May, 2010 (Kathmandu)

• 5th consecutive day of the indefinite general strike imposed by the UCPN (Maoist) party. Clashes and confrontation have been reported in different places throughout the country.
• UCPN-Maoist continued picketing-programme in Singhadarbar since this morning.
• UCPN-Maoist has organized Red-Rally starts from Protected content today 6 May from 3 different intersections; Satdobato, Gongabu and Koteshower at half intervals and converge at Sundhara Kathmandu.
