Shipping safely into Nepal (Kathmandu)

I want to have a valuable musical instrument shipped into Kathmandu but I'm not sure which shipping service is dependable. I'm buying the item from China and the company uses EMS. They only guarantee delivery as far as customs.

Does anyone have experience with the most reliable way to receive this type of item shipped form China or similar country?
