racism (Kyiv)

Ok so bluntly put, I have heard that Ukraine (Kiev) is a racist country/city. I have been researching the web for last few days and this has further confirmed that people of color are not welcome into the country - I have actually seen videos of locals beating up people in the train because they are colored Protected content .

Often the web can be 'sensationalist' so wanted to ask here in this forum if the high levels (or any level) or racism is really true in Kiev, Ukraine?

I wanted to come into the city to learn Russian and Salsa for Protected content but don't want to have to keep watching my back.
