Moving to the DRC (Kinshasa)

Hi Everyone!!

I will be moving to the DRC shortly and would like to have some idea about the quality of life in the DRC (I will be in Katanga).

The information I have garnered on-line is pretty scary (as usual) so, I am turning to you out there, to please give me a good idea of what I should expect.

What is the cost of living there? How much does a 1 bedroom cost in a safe neighbourhood? Food? Entertainment? Transportation?

Suggestions on how to prepare are greatly appreciated.
