Haze over Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)

Hi There Guys,

I'm landing in Kuala Lumpur on the 16th July for 3 days and plan to spend 3 months in Malaysia, I have read about the haze and have a couple of questions/concerns.

Will the haze still be around then, how long does it normally last?
Should I take any measures against the haze in Kuala Lumpur?
I was planning on going to Port Dickson then Melaka from Kuala Lumpur, should I head north instead?
