Housekeeper for expat family? (Kuala Lumpur)

Hi,
We're looking for a full-time live-in, housekeeper/nanny. It would be great if there are any expat families who are either leaving KL and can recommend their housekeeper or if they know of any other families. Preferably some english proficiency would be great (I understand it won't be perfect).

Or any ideas on how to get a housekeeper would be appreciated. I'm not sure we want to go through the agencies as I've heard so many horror stories...but am open to it.
