Immigration Issue (Kuala Lumpur)

Hi, one of my friend is Indonesian, and has been in Malaysia for around 2 months.
He is actually working here, and his visa is on process.
His stay permit Protected content after enter) will expire soon, and he has to either extend it here locally or go out from Malaysia, then come back to get fresh stay permit (30days for ASEAN countries).
This will be his 3rd time entering Malaysia, with a very short gap (weekend) from his date of going out.
We need a very good reason, in case immigration is having suspicious on him.
I was thinking either :
- Having families in medical treatment in Malaysia. (but afraid Immgration will crosscheck to the hospital).
- Or planning to do business in Malaysia, now still studying the market.

Could you please suggest and enlight us on this ?
