Jobs for Spouse on Dependent VISA (Kuala Lumpur)

My Wife will be in KL this December on Dependent VISA. Would like to know whether she can work on DP VISA by getting any letter of consent from immigration similar to Singapore?

She is currently working with Volkswagen Group Sales back in India as Asst Mgr and is unable to search KL jobs directly from India as most companies prefer application from KL first.

please share experience and/or details.
