Looking for a good place to live in Malaysia (Kuala Lumpur)

I am looking to move to Malaysia and would like to know your opinions on a great place to consider that has easy access to surfing and fishing. I've read good things about Kuala Lumpur for being a great hotspot for food and access to a great market, but i really don't know anything about the surrounding area and I would like to have easy access to the ocean instead of drive 30 kilometers.
