Moving to KL (Kuala Lumpur)

Hi,

We are a family of four (with 2 young kids Protected content old and 8 months old) planning on moving to KL (probably Mont Kiara) shortly.

Would somebody have an idea of following:

(1) What should we plan as budget for monthly living expenses (food, utilities, restaurants etc) - assuming we are not the lobster eating type of people :)

(2) Hear a lot from friends that have lived in KL that kidnapping of kids is quite common place - any insights in the community on this?

(3) What is best way of hiring live-in maids?

(4) Are there other areas in KL that you would recommend instead of Mont Kiara?
