Work Permit Procedure (Kuala Lumpur)

Hi All,
I am from India and I have a job offer from Malaysia. I am wondering if you could please guide me on the work permit procedure.
The company already taken the work permit approval from Immigration department in Malaysia and asked me to come over on a tourist visa. I am bit confused if this is the right procedure to come on a tourist visa? I checked on internet and found that we also need to apply for a calling visa before arrival. Please guide me what is the right procedure for it? Thank you!
