your thoughts on schools in KL for Australian kids (Kuala Lumpur)

Hi, my family is moving to KL in January. My kids are 9 and 12. if you have moved to KL from Australia or New Zealand, how have you decided on a school? It seems that the easiest would be the Australian International school as the school year is the same. If your kids go there, do you like the school? How has the transition been?
If you sent your kids to other schools, how hard is it for them to change. Do they jump a year? I heard the Garden School is quite good. Any feedback on transitioning from Australia into that school?
