Depndent Visa for Australians (Kuwait City)

Hi All, I am going to work in Kuwait soon, and my company will look after my work visa. I want to bring my wife and my child from day 1. So they will be on visit visa at first; then, I am going to sponsor them. My Question:
is it an easy process for me to get their Dependent visa?
I know that they need to exit kuwait, once I applied for their visa, and they come back with their dependent visa; is this a matter of day trip to Bahrain (for example) to do theeir pre visa medical and stamping, or they have to come back to Australia? I appreciate if you share your experiences, especially fellow Aussies in the forum
