ANY INFO ON CROSS RIVER STATE NIGERIA? (Lagos)

I have an enticing job offer in Cross River State but have no idea if that's a comfortable place for an expat. I have stayed in Lagos at very high end 5 star accomodations with up to date ammenities and want the same where ever I go. Does anyone know if Cross River state is such a place? Or is it just rural countryside with inconvenicences like hard to find running water, scarce electricity, no grocery stores or nice hotels, etc? Thanks for any info.
