Lahore for a single female

Hi!

I'm potentially looking to head towards Lahore in a few months.
Despite being well travelled and having Pakistani roots I have no idea what to expect in the city. I have only visited Lahore over twenty years ago for two weeks.

My main concerns are:
1. Safety - will be required to live within a compound?
2. As a woman is there anything I need to be aware of?
3. Working remotely means I need reliable wifi, from what I know there are countless power failures. What is the situation with wifi.
4. Is there anything else I should be aware of?
