Those who were at dinner at Pinnochio's last Friday were remarking on the lack of casual and spontaneous social life in German culture. Especially the French, Italians, and Spaniards are missing the tradition of apero (can't spell, some one help me out?) where people just stop round a cafe on their way home from work and run into their group, whoever happens to be there.
We decided we would like to get something like this going, where people have a regular place they can stop off in the late afternoons, have a chat and a quick drink.
The main thing is to set the place, and we decided on CAFE CENTRAL.I expect to be there pretty often and would be very keen to see this catch on.
