will i need a visa? (Leipzig)

Hello,
im moving to Leipzig in august for school and im going to take a intensive german course near the university of Leipzig (9 months long) then hopefully going to the Leipzig School of Design for fashion designing for preparation. I was wondering if i would need a student visa for my time of study. I plan on staying longer to go to college for fashion designing as soon as i finish all the courses needed. Also what are all the fashion designing colleges?
