Join us on a Game Count in Kuti Wildlife Park (Lilongwe)

We’re pretty sure we only have two Giraffe, but we’re losing count of the Zebra, the Sable and the Waterbuck…and we know there are many others out there.

So we’d like to invite you to come along to our game count and help us get a handle on just how many animals there are, and the more eyes the better.

You’re invited to join us on the Friday or Saturday – we will be holding braais on both nights at Sunset Deck (where you’ll be treated to what is surely the best sunset in Malawi!) with plenty of time in between to explore Kuti for yourself - more details below. The game count will take place early on Sunday morning followed by a bush breakfast at around 10am.

PLEASE REGISTER AS EARLY AS POSSIBLE so we can plan the game count and catering accordingly. To book or for more information please email Kate on Protected content or call Protected content .
More about Kuti - Kuti is a stunning Protected content reserve located just outside the town of Salima and around an hour from Lilongwe. The reserve is run by the Kuti Trust, which is a non-profit organisation working to protect wildlife and conserve the environment by working together with the local communities.

Accommodation options:
There is unlimited camping at a discounted price of MK Protected content person (children under 12 go for free – we will have a family camping area, and games laid on for any children during the game count). In addition, on a first come first served basis we have:
Sable or Kudu villa $120/MK33,000 per chalet (sleeps 6)
Impala villa $100/MK28,000 per chalet (sleeps 6)
A Frame chalets $20/MK5,500 per person per night ($70/MK Protected content 4 people sharing)

Food & drink
There will be a cash bar with beers and sodas, but please bring your own ‘exotics’. We are normally self catering, and you are of course more than welcome to provide your own food. However, as laid out in the plan above, we’ll be organising some food for both Friday and Saturday night and Sunday breakfast. We’ll just ask for a small donation to cover costs on the day.
Park entry: (All proceeds are invested back into our community projects)

Directions
The Kuti turnoff is around 1km on toward Salima from the Nkhotokhota Turn Off if you are coming from Lilongwe. You will turn left down a dirt track and it is around 4km to the park gate. Please do drive carefully as there are villages either side. If you are coming by public transport, we can arrange for a pick up from the main road, depending on the availability of the truck. Or if you are travelling light it is possible to get a 25 minute bike taxi from Salima (in the dry season).
