ATM problem (Lima)

Dear all,
I'm quite worried and I hope that someone could help me. I'm just arrived in Lima. Yesterday I had a problem with my card and I couldn't withdraw money from the ATM. My card has two circuits: magnetic strip and the chip. I discovered yesterday that the magnetic strip doesn't work. In Italy is almost useless because we always use the chip circuit in the ATM too.
I tried different ATM and always they say that can't read my card. Do you know if there are ATM that works with just the chip circuit? Or do u have any advice for me?
I paid at the METRO with the same card so it works.
