Personal income tax and company apartment (Lima)

Hello,

I am planning to move to Lima in January. I will be establishing a sales rep office funded by my head office in Korea.

The company will support me with the expense for my apartment. My concern is that if the Peruvian tax office will recognize this as my personal income and levy personal income tax.

I think the simplest way would be the rep office of mine being the lessee in the rental contract and let me use the apartment as a real tenant. In some country, they recognize this as a personal income, but I don't know if it is also the case in Peru.

My Peruvian friend who runs a business here says it will be allowed for the company to provide me with an apartment because I am a foreigner. I just want to double-check by listening to people here in Internations who have gone through similar steps.

Thanks a lot in advance.
