moving from Europe to Togo (Lomé)

I'm moving from Europe to Lome where I will live for 3 years. And, I don't know if I should take my wooden furniture or not. Is the humidity in Lome damaging the pine or birch wood? Are there nice furniture shops in Lome (and not too expensive)?
What would you take from Europe that you can't get locally (ie. furniture, electrical devices, food, etc)?
