Banking Before Arrival (London)

Hi everyone,
Can you help me determine my options for banking prior to arrival. The catch 22 is that I won't have an address and i'd hope to an account setup before arriving in London. Will a letter of employment fare? And what choice of bank, fees etc are associated to this?
