Hi

What is up with recruiters and employers in London so resistant to consider non-EEA candidates who can work in UK without sponsorship under student visa until it expires and/or exempt from resident labour market test? I recently graduated with distinction for my MSc at UCL and found recruiters stopped talking to me as soon as they saw my most of my work experience is in the US. It seems employers here discriminate against non-British and are misinformed about the visa rules.

Even when I get a spousal visa, will I still encounter the same discrimination from employers? Isn't there an equal opportunity law where it's illegal for employers to discriminate against nationality or people on temporary work permit?
