My client is offering a great job opportunity for a Graduate/ Junior profile having knowledge in Purchasing and Supply chain, to join an international company major player in its field, selling special materials, innovative products and systems to a large range of customers in different industries.
They are looking for a System Specialist within their Global Procurement Team, reporting to the Process Improvement Manager.
The purpose of this role is to establish and implement the optimum use of Procurement Systems ( SAP, Ariba) in line with a standard process and to ensure the maximum benefit is obtained from the use of the Procurement Systems.
The job holder will provide support to the Global Procurement team across all Regions and Categories.
Having ideally some knowledge in Systems or in Procurement, the successful candidate will be a recent graduate with a minimum of a 2:1 Degree in a technical subject who can demonstrate logical thinking process.
The job holder must be a self-starter and be able to communicate and work in an international team.
This requires a specialist who can work with minimum direction and can learn how the company systems operate and hence identify the critical effect of each configuration. In order to implement the improved processes, the person must be able to empathise with system users and have the personal skills to be able to overcome the complex details and still achieve the overall goal.
The successful candidate will work closely with the Process Improvement Manager initially on two key projects, whose aim is to dynamically enhance Procurement systems within the Group.
The job holder must be prepared to undertake some overseas travel from time to time. A full UK driving license and car ownership would be an advantage due to limited public transport to the site.
The position is based in the UK head office, located in the Merseyside/ Lancashire area.
