Relocating to London

I am in total loss! Our office is relocating me to London from Dubai in September and was wondering whether anyone would advice to ship all the furniture from Dubai to London or sell and buy from there. My firm offered me a new role and they will pay an allowance for shipment. The assignment is only for 3 years.

The office is in Brentford, couple of colleagues advised to rent in ealing or feltham. Others advised to rent in central London due to social activities etc. now in total confusion .. Which area will be suitable and safe ..
