taxes in the UK (London)

Hello all,

perhaps you can enlighten me on this aspect of the income tax in the UK. I may have to do a very long and expensive commute on a daily basis for my potential employer. In the US, we can deduct our commuting costs (transport etc) from our income tax. I can't seem to get a straight answer from the internet. Do you have any information regarding this?
