Website designer issues (London)

Hello, I would like to know whether someone can offer some advice.
I got in touch with a designer who namely was "helping local business in the health and beauty sector to gain more customers building looking good websites" and we agree for her to go ahead with the first stages to build a new website for my Pilates and well-being business.
She only presented me with what I found out is called a "mock up" version of it to see if I liked it. I dind't at all, and she provided another version of it which was nearly identical to the first one. After taking a bit of time to consider, I decided that we couldn't work together.
She now would like to charge me £ Protected content the "mock ups". I think it is extortionate, and few designers has told me the same. What do you think? What would be the right amount to charge for a basic website mock up? Does anybody know, if there is a sort of professional website designer order? Many thanks in advance....
