Senior Financial Reporting Analyst (Los Angeles)
Uses analytical, technical and organizational skills in preparing and analyzing financial data. Individual must be self-starter, able to multi-task and able to manage multiple projects. Need experience with inventory and ability to analyze costs related to a manufacturing company. Also needs experience with completing financial statements.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Compiles, analyzes, and organizes financial information in a logical and accurate manner to create monthly, quarterly, and annual reports on both domestic and international financial data
Performs weekly and monthly analysis on cash management including upload and update of financial purchases and month end reconciliation for all investments
Performs bookkeeping, reconciliation, and assists in tax preparation for minimal operational companies such as Dermalogica Academy, Dermalogica Foundation, and multiple personal investment accounts held by Dermalogica’s owners
Prepares checks as needed for entities above and reconcile cash balances
Prepares check payments on quarterly and annual corporate and individual tax payments
Reviews and validates daily, weekly and monthly sales and gross margin analysis including preparation of Day One and monthly worldwide sales analysis reports
Validates sales data and non-sales data on a monthly basis to ensure proper calculation of quarterly commission payments
Reviews Travel/Air reports and GE fleet reports and report on discrepancies as needed
Analyzes and organizes financial data in spreadsheet format in a logical and accurate manner including maintenance of capital assets
Reviews and validates Cognos data against JD Edwards to ensure database management and reports are accurate and maintained on a monthly basis
Reports on budgetary data on a monthly basis on exception or variances
Facilitates budget approval process on an annual basis coordinating, compiling and reviewing international subsidiary as well as domestic information into a consolidated worldwide budget
Interfaces with different team members to obtain necessary data for analysis
Performs business analysis including trend analysis which may impact business and financial decisions
Prepares and develops integrated revenue/expense analyses, forecasting and projections, and related reports and presentations for CFO as required

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:
BS degree in business, finance or accounting preferred. Minimum of 7 years of experience in accounting, business, and financial analysis.
