Weekend 28th/29th March (Los Angeles)

Hey LA members.

I will be in LA for a short transit before I fly back to Melbourne, Australia on Sunday 29th at night.

I've never been to LA before and I won't have access to a car. Can anyone recommend areas to stay (that don't cost a fortune) and how to get to the main attractions? I really want to see the Griffin Observatory, Walk of Fame, Chinese Theater.

Also I'd like to have a night out on Saturday 28th, experience LA nightlife. Where would you suggest, and does anyone want to join me??

Would be a great help to get local insights, and also if you're free Sat night/Sunday to meet some like minded people to enjoy the city with.
