moving (Luanda)

i'm moving to Luanda in the next 2 weeks.

worked in a few places and been held at immigration a couple of times but never paid any bribes or anything like that. I hope this does not sound stupid but i've heard all sorts of rumours that a bribe is necessary on entering th country - true or false????

Also my Portuguese is non existent is some English spoken and how safe is Luanda.
