Moving to Lugano

Hi

My husband has been offered a job near Lugano. We are both English and have 4 children, a 4 year old, 2 year old and 3 month old twins. Can you recommend areas to look at for renting, our main priorities are to be within/near other expats, good schools for the children (they will attend Swiss school) , amenities nearby.

Also can someone explain the schooling system. I was under the impression that the oldest at 4 would go to kindergarten which was free however the company offering the job have indicated we would need to pay, can anyone give clarification on this?
