You need max 30 minutes by car from Lugano, by train too. If you live in Lugano and you come back before 1 a.m. l advise you to come by train. From station St Giovanni to downtown you need 10 minutes by foot. Como is a few bigger than Lugano and you can easily visit with public trasportation services.
