snow in summer time (Lugano)

I am not familiar to Lugano yet and we arrive from Brazil on July 26th. Can you tell me what is the nearest place to Lugano where I can show snow to my son?
He has never seen it and he is quite anxious about it...

I know St Moritz should have snow in summer time but is there any other nearer place ( and cheaper) you could indicate to me?
